• By broth microdilution method we can test multiple compounds of both natural or synthetic origin against diverse microorganisms. These microorganisms can be bacteria or candida. We have a huge collection of pathogens including multi drug-resistant clinical isolates, ESKAPE pathogens, and candida are available in our inventory for immediate testing.

• Kirby Bauer Disc Diffusion method to determine antibiogram or sensitivity profiling of pathogens is an accepted methods for prescribing the most effective antibiotic. 
• We will use five different antibiotic per sample to determine the antibiogram. 

•  The testing compound is serially diluted with water to produce a series of concentrations. These concentrations are then mixed with agar and agar is poured in Petri plates. After that bacteria is inoculated to each plate. 
• After 24 hours of incubation plates are read to check the presence or absence of bacteria and MIC is recorded.

• Anticandidal studies would be performed to determine the antifungal potential of compounds.

• Minimum Biofilm Eradication Concentration (MBEC) assay in 96-well microplate format.
• MBEC assays can be used to determine the minimum concentration of a test compound that will penetrate and eradicate microbial biofilms. 
• Crystal violet is a dye that stains both microbial cells as well as extracellular matrix, and is commonly used as a readout for biomass. At BJ Micro Lab, MBEC assay can be performed to evaluate antibiofilm potential of test compounds.
